AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) Certification Course


Event Description

This highly anticipated course is designed to help AEC professionals get prepared to obtain the coveted AACE PSP certification.

To ensure that our members can benefit from the course material and exchange with the instructors in a safe manner, this training will be held online for four evenings from December 7 to December 11, 2020, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm pacific time (6:30 pm to 9:30 pm central).

The training course will be instructed by our AACE SF section President, Dr. Nour Bouhou, PSP, and the AACE Houston Gulf Coast Chapter Director, Mr. Jesus Schuldes, PSP.

Instructor Bios

Dr. Nour Bouhou, Partner and Vice President at Peritia Partners, has over 10 years of experience within the AEC industry. She provides claims and litigation support services on large scale projects, including commercial buildings, educational, industrial, residential, healthcare, and others, and expert witness testimony on construction-related claims and disputes involving cost, schedule, and productivity issues. Dr. Bouhou also assists clients across the AEC industry on project controls services, including scheduling, cost estimating, change order evaluation, She provides technical trainings to owners and contractors, related to scheduling best practices, project controls principles and claims. Dr. Bouhou previously served as the Treasurer & Vice President of the AACE Central Texas chapter, as the Secretary and Vice President of the AACE SF Bay Area section, and as a contributing member of the AACE educational board. In addition to her diverse officer positions within AACE, she previously provided PSP certification trainings to prepare AACE members for the PSP certification exam. Dr. Bouhou holds a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to her industry contributions, she is also an Adjunct Professor at California State University, East Bay, in the Construction Management Master’s Program. Mr. Jesus Schuldes has more than 12 years of experience in both the public and private sectors of the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.

Mr. Schuldes provides mediation, arbitration, and litigation support including expert witness testimony on construction-related claims involving cost, schedule, and productivity issues. He provides comprehensive evaluation of construction claims and disputes with strong focus on the assessment and quantification of labor productivity losses and schedule delay damages utilizing critical path (CPM) schedule delay analysis methodologies including as-planned v. as-built, windows, impacted as-planned, collapsed as-built and time impact analyses. In addition, Mr. Schuldes specializes in developing, analyzing, updating, and monitoring construction schedules and provides technical training to owners and contractors related to scheduling best practices and project controls principles. Mr. Schuldes has worked as a project engineer providing 3rd party quality assurance services on behalf of USACE for the New Orleans infrastructure improvement program following Hurricane Katrina as well as a field engineer for a general contractor handling education and commercial construction projects, with responsibilities including estimating, surveying, field reporting, monitoring progress, and developing and managing project schedules.
