Keep Your PMO: Don’t Close it, use Metrics to Improve!

Join AACE SF on 9/30/20 at 12 PM PST for an amazing presentation from our speaker, Cari Stieglitz, PMP, President of Sage Method who spent over 17 years focus on how facilities and construction organizations are impacted by process and technology. Currently, she focuses her time on establishing governance, strategy and organizational change for organizations looking transform how they do business.

Presentation abstract: The statistics are not in our favor, as high as 50% of PMOs are shuttered within three years of starting. Why is this? In this session, we will discuss how revisiting your PMOs strategy, governance persona and services using a Kaizen lense will keep your PMO alive and adding value. Come learn how to determine if you PMO has the right personality for your organization, the right level of process definition and where the gaps are. From there, how you can apply Kaizen to an initiative to provide value to your organization. We will learn about common PMO mistakes, different PMO personas (cop, coach, co-op), apply some Kaizen basics to the problems and establish an initiative structure to close the gaps. You will come out of this sessions with some practical methods for your own organization.
